Ask first. Build second.
Ideas in development · nothing for sale yet
Vema is a small software studio for finance and operations work. Before building anything, I talk to the people who would use it. These are the three ideas I'm testing with US firms right now.
The three ideas
- Client bills into the right books.
For business-management and family-office firms that code client bills and statements by hand.
- One entry, every carrier portal.
For independent P&C agencies that re-type each customer into several carrier portals.
- A technical check before the close.
For buyers of $2–15M businesses that run on software, and the advisers who refer them.
How these conversations work
I write to firms with one short question about how they work today. Your answer decides what I build, or whether I build it at all. I never ask for logins, client data or payment, and if you'd rather not hear from me, reply "no" and I won't write again.
If one of these is your work, reply with one line about how it's done today. “Not a problem for us” is a useful answer too. You can also write to [email protected].
